- Has experienced interior water leaks over the previous year.
- The floor has holes in it.
- It has open fissures that are broader than a dime.
- Has a peeling paint area greater than eight by 11 inches.
- Rats have been sighted in the flat recently.
1. Housing instability:
The ratio of annualized housing expenditures to annual income is known as the housing affordability ratio. Different income-based assessments employ a variety of cutoff points. Still, most organizations use the 30% or 50% criterion, which designates someone as housing insecure if they spend more than 30% or 50% of their yearly salary on housing, respectively.

Neighborhood quality is described as dwellings in areas with unpleasant traits that do not immediately represent a health concern, such as subpar city/county services, boarded-up units, pothole-ridden roads, lack of nearby retailers, and more.
